Great idea! We are making hundreds of discs at our house (we dont use stemmed ones) Once you get the hang of it they are so easy!

Wow! Nice work on these.

However, for me, frag plugs are like tamales. I’ve can make them for cheaper than I can buy them, but the savings isn’t worth the hassle and the guy that does it for a living makes better tamales than me. (My tamales ain’t too bad for a white dude though)

this is a great idea, however, this can be done without using wooden molds...
consider using compacted sand as a substitute for your wooden mold. grab a piece of plug and use it to make an indentation in the compacted sand and fill that indentation with your preferred material and let it dry.
