Ever since I discovered the frammer coral (mix of frogspawn and hammer), I’ve been wondering how rare are these, how is this coral created, and how many of you have one? Here’s a picture of mine

Oh, wow. Someone told me it was more rare. I thought it kinda looked like this one in the article http://aquanerd.com/2012/05/cherry-corals-frammer-euphyllia.htmlThe link below might help, although what you have just looks like a normal Frogspawn coral to me. Octospawns look a little different than yours too IMO.

Woah!? 75-100 per head?! Wow. Mines been splitting recently (the picture above is a month or two old). So I have around 8 heads (2 baby ones not included). No frammers are totally a thing. They're not hybrids just look like a hybrid between a hammer and a frogspawn. They're a species of euphyllia all their own I just can't remember right off the top of my head. They're not necessarily rare as much more uncommon then hammers frogspawns and octo and also more highly sought after. All that equates to more valuable. A regular green one like yours is usually about 75-100 per head. Google euphyllia frammer coral and you can easily find more info on them. You have a nice piece!

I couldn’t find much info online. Do you happen to have any links? This is an octospawn which obviously doesn't have anchor shaped tips. Totally different then what you have. What you have is most definitely a frammer.
Thank you so much!I'm working currently but when I get off I'll look for you bud.
Are you able to tell how many heads are in the picture from the article? Here's a link that might help although it doesn't say it's a hybrid it also says it can't be ruled out

Definitely not an octospawn, very different. This is an octospawn.Lol, you just made that up
We call them Octospawns
Wow I just can’t beleive I got a somewhat rare coral from a chain store (they’re only in my state). They just labeled it frogspawn and I believe gave it to us for either $15 or $20 a headDefinitely less common. I used to have one, got it from CB. Died in a week lol.
