Thanks so much for the warm welcome :) very excited about the plethora of information here

Heres my 120! Started in February as FOWLR but Ive added zoanthids, mushrooms, green stars, xenia, colts, goniopora, and some others I havent ID’d yet. Goal was to experiment with one of everything and see what did well, its how I approach planted tanks. I supplement with Sea Lab blocks, Fuel, and iodine. Looking to get a better light soon.

My panther grouper, Freddie, is the star of this tank. Theres also a snowflake moray, fimbriated moray, 2 engineer gobies, Pacific sailfin tang, and a niger trigger. Im pretty sure the trigger is deformed and doesnt have any teeth - he lacks the ornamental red fangs, those white things are just the color of the corners of his mouth, and his “nose” seems to be missing (so we call him The Dark Lord).

Theres also 10 nassarus, 2 turbo, and 10 cerith snails. Im wary that any other kind if cleanup crew will get eaten by the eels. They do an ok job but the diatoms on the sand are annoying.

Something Im proud of is the hidden cave system I made out of 4” PVC. It spans the whole tank and theres 4 openings. It was meant for the eels but its a bit large for them right now. At least the panther loves it

Great fish choices and very nice looking tank!! I’m a big fan of triggers myself, the niger is my favorite! It looks like he eats well despite the missing teeth.

Thank you so much!!
Niger is my favorite too - color, shape, temperament. Yes fortunately hes ok with soft pellets, mysids, brine shrimp, and scraps from the big guys
