sup reef fam!
I have a full spectrum grow light previously used for a planted tank. What happens if I try to grow softies or lps for that matter under this day light spectrum?

Maybe if I grow only shallow reef species this would be the same as giving them sun light that they’re used to, no?

Fanks!

What's the PAR rating on it. That's what really matters. But, you aren't going to get the color pop of dedicated reef lighting.

Should work no issue. As mentioned you will lose some pop of colors and with certain corals they may look pretty drab under white light. Before buying a coral I’d simply ask the seller (either LFS or online) to send a white light pic so you know what to expect
