How much does this change as more and more DC powered equipment makes it’s way into the industry?

inwoold think a dc pump with a power supply that has a max output would be safer than a 110v return pump.

I had one false trigger that took out my return up and since the heater was in the sump it because worthless also

thnking of putting my new dc return pump on non gfci

I think that's fine to put DC pumps on a standard receptacle. They are not line voltage.

Another best practice would be separate GFCIs, so if something trips, the whole tank doesn't go down.
