Equipment:
90 gallon tank, 20 gallon sump, skimmer rated up to 300 gallons, about 90 pounds of live rock. Maxspect Razor 300 watt with BRS T5 hybrid, China powerheads but switching to dual xf230 tonight. Tank has been running for about 18 months.

Water Parameters are all good, except my nitrates stay at 0.

Phosphate is at 1.5
DKH 7.5

With all that said I am so over algea have been dealing with it for the past 9 months. I have tried everything.

Have you tried fluconazole? It’s commonly used for bryopsis but does a number on most anything green in my experience.

Sea hare best $20 i ever spent for taking control of algea. Biggest problem is they will eat it so fast that u run out and then can rehome to someone else that needs help or trade back to LFS. Good news is they r super easy to catch if u patient and wait till they out in open.

And possibly UV. Others can prob help better to treat the root cause. My suggestions r for taking care of the problem now easily and getting the tank looking good immediately snd then u can look at long term how to keep from coming back.

I don't even know what kind of algea it is. My tangs won't touch it.

Looks good. I would wait and let your corals grow and your existing cuc will get bigger and hungrier.

I might replace the blue tang with a bristle tooth or to tomini however.

Yeah I probably have one to many tangs in it. There is a bristle in there, the guy at WWC told me that they would be ok together.

OK. Good. Just for reference, my blue tang is outgrowing my 180 :)
