Hey y’all. We’ve got an IM Helios controler and heater.

I’m fixing to add a reef factory thermo controller and plug the Helios controller/heater into that for monitoring and safety shutoff if the Helios fails.

WHEN the Helios fails…it’s got two points of failure, the heater and the controller.

My question is…for back up…would y’all think it better for me to buy a reserve heater for the Helios or a reserve heater from BRS?

If the Helios heater dies I could plug in a new one all set. If the controller goes and I have a Helios heater back up I can’t use it.

However, if the Helios controller goes and I have a BRS heater back up I can plug it and all set, except NOW I’d be relying completely on the reef factory controller with no safety redundancy.

Hope all that made sense…

What maybe y’all think better purchase?

Brs heater, no redundancy…

Helios heater, continued redundancy or shut out of luck?

I know…buy both…but c’mon man…
