Hi can someone please help me I'd what is on my blue tangs tale its on both sides. I just noticed it today before feeding. He is still eating fine. It looks like a white patch on the Yellow part of his tale. Any help would be great I have had him for over 11 years and love him greatly. I tried to get a good video you should be able to get a clear view in a part of the video. Thanks

Will need a pic and/or video to help determine what you are describing

Sorry guys I did upload a video. I guess it didn't work. I will try again. I can't seem to get a picture of him but with the video seems to work better. I think when the flash goes off he jerks. My tank is a 120 mixed reef my Parameters are salt 1.025. Alk 8.0 calcium 470. Mag around 1400. My phosphate go between 0.03 and 0.09 my nitrate 7. I have a big protein skimmer with a algae scruber I keep on and off depending on my nitrate and phosphate. I also have a 15watt aqua ultraviolet uv it is rated for 90 gallons so a little under powered buy I run 24/7 and I changed bulb 5 months ago. I checked all other fish no signs of anything else. I have noticed the tang trying to fit in his spot at night but he is getting a little big. For the last few month's he sleeps with his tale along the live rock and sand. Not sure but it doesn't look like a scrap. It kinda of looks like when you see mold on a piece of bread but very white not gray. I'm going to try and upload video again and will try and get a picture as well. I appreciate the help

Thanks the video was pretty clear.

Tank looks great!

I can only tell you that this isn't any of the common contagious fish diseases, my best guess is a bent caudal fin, kind of like how when you bend back a fingernail.
