We have noticed a lot of these small and soft spongy thingies in our sump. Is this normal for a sump to have this type of creature and does anyone have a name for these guys? I hope you can see it clearly on the pictures. They are only in our sump and they seem to suck themselves to the glass.

I would say they’re pineapple sponges but they’re smaller than the ones I’m used to. Having a few in the sump is normal but if you start to see a bunch take a look at your RODI and test for silicates.

It's about time to replace the RODI filters, will be on the lookout for that then. Thanks for pointing that out
