So I'm not actually sure if it's a zoa or a paly, it's not too healthy, I got it from a local reefer who was going to throw it out so I don't know what it is. It's looking a lot better than when I got it, not quite as stretched out for the light, but now it's got a red, almost slimy looking algae growing on it.
It's already been through a lot, and upon closer inspection it looks like I've got some other algae growing on it as well. My GSP has some of the hairy algae that's covering the rocks on it too. It's the first algae bloom after my cycle, but the red stuff seems to be exclusively on this frag. My snails used to eat the algae, but it got so long they've stopped and moved on to eating a different kind that's on the glass.

Thanks @Michael Naegeli and @Kremis! Took a turkey baster to it and blew it off and didn't lose any polyps this time! Last time I edit on the same half of the tank as that frag with a turkey baster I knocked three polyps off!

No worries. I wish u luck w ur tank. I’m an absolute Zoa freak myself.
Yeah I really like the look of them! And the fact that they're a more hardy coral is great as a beginner. I just got 5 zoas at Reef A Palooza, I almost think I'm going to end up doing mostly that since they seem to be a rather cheap coral compared to some others I've seen. If it's brightly colored or moves with the current I like it, and if it doesn't need intense care I might get it. These are the ones I got at RAP! I still haven't figured out how to take a good picture with the lights.

Nice... keep Zoa’s w Zoa’s and Paly’s w paly’s Paly tend to over run Zoa for space. U can buy a aquaria clip on Amazon for your cell phone for pics. I just use my sunglasses as a filter. Polarized Costa’s. Any polarized will work. The clip for phone is cheap and very big difference. I love Zoa’s. Have tons. Here’s a few pic thru my costas for ya

Holy expletives that's awesome! I'm guessing that's in the 250? Went to your page to see if you had a thread or any pics of your tank and I can't imagine that all being in the smaller one mentioned a year ago. About how many different kinds would you say you have?

Thanks. Those pics are in my 180 gal. I actually have 4 tanks setup. I cannot get any good pics of most everything. I suck at pics and only use my old iPhone so I don’t show most of what I got. Much still a work in progress.
