I have a AquaClear 30 filter, and it just stopped working.
I'm not really sure why, but it will NOT work.
We added sand to my tank today, so I took it apart, as I was told to do, washed out the areas that have sand in them, and it's still not working
HELP!!

there might be sand lodged in the impeller. This will need to be rinsed out thoughly to get it out. Just don't get the actual motor wet. Any sand where the magnet of the impeller and the motor meet, would cause it to fail.

Ok this is what i do when this happens. Plug it back in. While it's on grab the top of the propeller thingy and pull it up a little but don't pull it all the way out and push it back down. Do it a couple of times and it should start spinning again

I would soak it in vinegar. It sounds like it is trying to spin, but is stuck somehow.

You should get a powerhead for just that reason in case one stops you have somthing moving water til you get home or give you some time to get it fixed.

Plus 1 on the power head I suggest two hydor koriallas one for each side of the tank and turn th aqua clear into a small fuge by adding rubble rock and cheato and a small light! That will help out a lot more! Will also raise the level of pods
