I wouldn’t worry about it. These fish come from areas where average water temps are similar to room temperature. My guppies are doing fine unheated.so, the thermometer in the tank says 70 and it stays at 70-71. we can’t find a good heater for the tank, so how can I get it warmer without using a heater? The fish need a 70-80 temp.

Welcome freshyHi! I’m new to this forum! I have a fish tank which is 5 gallons, im still going to add 2 more hides to it though. And i am planning once the ph balance gets good I’m planning to get my fishes! I know this is a saltwater fish forum, but I’m getting freshwater fish since it’s my first time having fish exept for a beta I had years ago.
here’s my tank pic! So far . I’m panning to get 2 guppies, 1 platy, and a ghost shrimp
I agree. I also suggest to start the fish in a container of their water and slowly add tank water until you match the original volume or do more than it. It goes a long way, especially for the sensitive fish.Welcome to R2R. Don’t forget to float the bag so that the temperature equalisers. Lots of knowledgeable and helpful people here who will support and advise you when needed.
Not necessarily. Two things come to mind. The first is increased tank temp. The second is algae. Direct sunlight is gonna result in lots of it.Oh ok . There’s a window right beside the tank like on the Wall.
is That bad?
Don’t remind me...Not necessarily. Two things come to mind. The first is increased tank temp. The second is algae. Direct sunlight is gonna result in lots of it.
