This morning I noticed that my hippo is favoring one fin. I can’t tell if he is injured or has the start of a fin disease.

video is long - around the 2 min mark is a good shot.

I was videoing the Anthias as well. He was introduced to the tank a month ago. He came larger that I thought he would be.

he chases fish around but I haven’t seen him bite any fish. He leaves Dory alone for the most part. He focuses on tormenting the Midas blenny. The Midas deserves it he used to be the tank bully and actually would bite - he killed 2 fish.

I don’t think the Anthias attacked the hippo.

thoughts - disease or injury

he doesn’t have white dots on him I just fed oyster eggs to get him swimming around in the front of tank for video

Video of Hippo Fins

thanks

Looks like a bite mark to me. The anthias is certainly one tough guy - I did see that it was ignoring the tang, but it would just take one split second bite to cause that. The Midas could also be the culprit.
I don’t see anything truly treatable here….
