I wish I could turn my single zebra tang into a pair with yours. Mines just the opposite temperament has never chased anyone. What temp are you keeping your tank at? I was thinking of getting a small wrought iron if they ever come around. Just didn’t know if I could get my water cold enough without a chiller.
79-80 degrees with no issues. It so crazy how different each fish is different. My wrought iron is so peaceful and people say they are usually very aggressive but not mine. Its going to be a hard fish to re-home with the price tag.

One of my holy grail fish is a clown trigger that won’t decimated his tank mates. I have one now going on 5”. Grew him up from about 1” in a year. So far so good but he doesn’t take crap from anyone. In my 800g DT with 50+ other fish. I kept him well fed.

Past holy grail fish from when I first joined the hobby: purple and power brown tang. (Sadly both have passed!)

Currently all of my fish! All of them are common I would say. But the Achilles was a fish I never thought I would be able to own because of their reputation of fragility and tank size needed. I’m happy to say the Achilles and powder blue coexist happily! And I successfully quarantined both! That is a holy grail in and of itself

I would love to try again with a purple tang and powder brown as well as add a black tang to the group when I upgrade from their current tank.

Yes and no...

I was lucky enough to have a large and long tank that could house a lot of different fish. Also got into the business side of the hobby after a few years (which I tend to do with things) which made fish a lot less expensive than retail. Also had access to some fish that you wouldn't see at a wholesaler or LFS.

I did fail trying to get a Hawaiian Cleaner Wrasse into the tank since I heavily QTed everything. I will try with a captative bred variant when they are available again...

Owned:

Achilles Tang (also a hybrid as well):

Gem Tang:

Black Tang (also a hybrid as well):

Bandit Angel:

Masked Angel (Kind of fell into my lap):

Crosshatch Pair:

Wanted:

Zebra Tang (not available while my tank was up):

Hawaiian Cleaner Wrasse (Couldn't get out of QT):

I finally got my oldest holy grail fish!
A Regal Angelfish, but not just any regal it’s a misbar regal (not an extreme misbar but also a hard to miss misbar once you notice it).

Recently just gained another of my personal holy grails, I’ve always wanted a mandarin but never pulled the trigger until yesterday. She’s been in the LFS for a while now and looked nice and healthy and I needed to boost my bio load so I pulled the trigger :)

Not a Holy grail fish but one I’ve had a hard time finding. A large 30 inch Green Moray. Plus a Bumblebee grouper. Thanks for watching
