I put Mrs. Wages in my ATO. Helps replenish alk and ca plus keep pH up. I know zoas don't use ca, but they do want steady alk. I don't do iodine or anything else because I don't test for it.

I feed my fish only frozen food and try to feed lots of it. I do a water change once a week and hit a few pieces with reef roids, but not much.

Been doing this about 10 years and used several different types of lighting. I ran straight t-5's for several years and was happy with the growth and colors. I had led's for several years but was never happy with growth. Colors can pop with led, but growth was poor. I am now using MH + t-5 and have super growth and color.
How much Mrs. Wages do you add for how many gallons of ATO water?
I use soda ash in a separated container using a dosing pump.
Alkalinity is so very important!

2 tsp per gallon, same as kalkwasser which is what I used for years but one day I ran out and bought some Mrs. Wages. I've had the same results as when I used kalk but the lime is cheaper. My ATO is 20 gallons but I rarely run more than 10 gallons in it.

My tank is LPS/zoa focused so even though I top off with lime water I still have to add some soda ash once or twice a week to keep alk up.

Yeah, same here. I add very small kalk to keep calcium/alkalinity rates and the soda ash for more alkalinity cause no hard corals.
