Ok, this may be a stupid question, but today I just bought my first coral. It is some sort of zoa, I don't remember exactly what kind. I bought it from my LFS and in the shop, all the polyps were opened and it looked great. Of course, I knew that when I first put it in my tank it would close up for a while. The first picture is from when I first put it in my tank today, at around 2:00. The second picture is from 8:00 tonight. I noticed the top polyps seem to be opening more than the bottom. I just wanted to make sure this is all normal and that eventually they will all open up, and if so, how long is the average amount of time until a zoa fully opens?

Totally normal. The top ones have more direct light, so can adjust faster. The lower ones will adjust in time and open as well. Welcome to the frustrating (wonderful) world of coral! :)
Oh awesome, thank you for easing my mind! Haha I am looking forward to/dreading the obstacles that come along with keeping coral!
