Using Fritz Pro Reef mix, following their recommended directions to reach the following parameters: Salinity 1.026, Alkalinity 8.0-9.0 dKH, Calcium 400-450ppm, Magnesium 1350-1450ppm. Everything is spot-on in my tank except Alkalinity, I can't get it over 7.0 (also, pH is a constant 8.2). Corals: only have 6 small zoa frags in tank. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

You can bump up alk and not affect anything else by adding a small amount of pure baking soda.

Go here and fill in the numbers:
The second item in the pull down menu under alk is baking soda. Hit calculate and it will tell you how much to add.

Awesome, thank you. I kept reading that if I do this then this will happen.
