Well, before all the rain over the last few days, it was a 4 acre (surface area) pond. Max depth about 7ft, so call average depth 3.5’. Four acres to ft^2 is around 170k; times depth is close to 600k ft^3.Welcome, how many gallons is your pond?
It’s already looking like I’m going to have to go for cheap salt. My best best might be brackish and try to raise pods and feeder shrimp!Welcome.
Most salts are 1/2 cup per gallon. but will be a struggle to keep up salinity level with outdoor evaporation/rainfall etc...
I’m afraid I’m going to have to scrap the project. It’s not even Summer, and daytime highs are likely to exceed 90F this week. If the salt didn’t bankrupt me, trying to cool it would.well how big is your pond?
I’ll answer if I can help with the stocking list
Welcome
:0 um. You'd need a few million for that.Well, before all the rain over the last few days, it was a 4 acre (surface area) pond. Max depth about 7ft, so call average depth 3.5’. Four acres to ft^2 is around 170k; times depth is close to 600k ft^3.
H2O runs about 7.5 gallons per cubic foot, so let’s say 4.5M gallons.
Hmmm, I’m going to need a bigger credit card!
