So I have a powder blue that is relatively young, and the poor thing had a bad case of ich. I bought a reef safe ich treatment and did the first dose yesterday. I have an old breeder floating cage that I put him in so he won't be disturbed or picked on, and I put him in my sump where the water flow is nice and easy. So far he is not eating, not swimming, rests on the bottom of the cage but in the normal upright position (not sideways or anything). His breathing is slightly labored and the ich was all over. So far it's been about 12 hours since I dosed and he is still alive and doesn't look any worse. I know powder Blues are nutritious for ich break outs and I am wondering if any one had any good advice, tips, questions that could help out my poor guy, and help to prevent this from happening again. I appreciate all of your comments.

You might try a dip. What reef safe treatment are you using?

I have never used that before. Are there directions for a dip? Goggle and see if there is one. I believe using just plain ro di water can be used as a dip. You should probably google that too. I have no experience with the fresh water dip.

I know you can use paraguard as a dip as well. The directions are on the bottle.

Depends on your pet Co , I hear a lot of bad things from pet Co how none of there stuff is ever clean, but the fish are always cheaper.. but the one I live next too prices are great and it's always clean when I go in. the aquatics salesperson has one at home and loves caring for them.

Those are black ice snowflakes. The associate didn't know that and he charged me for just snowflakes. They're selling on live aquaria for $150 each and I gave $40 each.

They priced them at $90 each, which is still way below internet pricing
