I’ve had both of these for a while don’t really know what they are. So what are they???

Top could be kedd reds if there a smaller polyp bottom is a new one to me but a sweet one.

tops arent kedds i have kedds i would say they are a morph of kedds

I have never seen anything like the pic 2 they are the color you see in the pic but in person they really glow. my pic taking skills don’t do them justice.

The polyps are not small. I would say about the same size as my tubs blues

If someone wants to post a pic of kedds. I would like to see what they look like side by side.

I only have about 150 of them now so thought I should find out what they are.

urs look like they have a purple center kedds are more dark, but it could just be the picture, and the other ones, well good luck ive NEVER seen those before you should just name them

The center is a blue or blueish purple.
I will name the other one if I can't get a id in a week or two

Thanks reefboy They look just like your pic. So it looks like I have a lot of Kedds Reds:iconbiggrin:

So now I just need a ID for the others. If no one can ID them in a week or so I might send some pics to zaoid. It would be cool to get to name a zoa. I just don't want to give a name to a zoa that already has one.

OP, are you sure yours are Kedds? They look more like Bali Safecrackers to me. Kedds have a red skirt and red centers. I almost picked up a colony today but the guy wanted a fortune for them. sigh.

Actually the 2nd ones look very similar to the Asterina Pinks on zoaid. Have to see if they keep their striations under different lighting..

That could be them I will move them to a few different tanks and see if they keep the striations. They have a copper color to them under low light and they are under medium light right now. I will move some to my tank with an 8 bulb tek fixture and see what happens. I’ve only let one frag go and it went to a friend of mine who runs MH I will have to stop by and see what they look like after 6 week under MH.

If that is what they are what is the going rate $$$???
