no, id you can turn the rock for more detail and a better angle that would be cool
or just look at a different angle.

IF its a bivalve(oyster , clam, scallop) you'll see a line bisecting(thus the hinge quetion) it and poss gills inside etc.
theres a LOT of different ones, heres a few.
