Just picked up a hammer coral and found these in my dip.

I think these are(were) brittle starfish :(

yup star fish. The second could be red valonia. red bubble algae. Its nasty. id consider a another follow up dip and look close.

Dipped again and scrubbed the heck out of it with a toothbrush, again
Nothing more came off.
Here's a better pic of the red thing. It looks like one of my kid's fruit gummies.

Luckily, I have read enough here to know to dip. The guy told me there was no need, but I didn't want to take any chances. I don't see any more, but I'll keep a close eye.
