Hi guys, i am doing tests each week and today i saw that kH increased from 8,5 to 9,9. For last 2 weeks kH is increasing..
Last week after water change i used Mg and Ca to increase those parameters.
Other parameters:
Ca 420
Mg 1455
No3 5
Po4 0.1
Salinity 1,025
Should i do water change or how i can reduce kH?
Thanks :)

Stop dosing as step no. 1 (if you are!)

Are you keeping any coral? Anything that can uptake your alkalinity? If you are, the easiest way is to just let it do it's thing and consume the alkalinity you already have.

If not, then you can do a serious of 10% water changes and slowly bring it down.

Tell us a lilttle but more about your tank, what are you keeping, what is your dosing/water changes routines etc.

If it is a newer tank, then you will soon get processes in the tank that will use up carbonate. I would not sweat dKh of 10.

However, how is this rising? Are you adding a supplement with ninja/stealth alk, like something to raise pH?
