Hello all,
I just inherited this tank and two fish. I got it all up and running using 15gal of new premade water. Fish seem to be doing fine, still working on EQ'ing the chemical levels.
The hood lights died this morning. Fans are not working and lights, which only one of worked initially, now are not working. I slightly dismantled the hood components and found the transformer/ballast unit is pretty rusted out and the electronics board seems toasted.
I am looking for parts that will work with the OCEANIC version but can not find them. Most critical parts are only available for the newer Coralife version.
I know how to dismantle and figure out electrical, so I am figuring I can reassemble everything myself.
I don't have any intention [yet, ha!] of having a very complex tank as it is mostly for my young son's enjoyment. I don't THINK I would need a lighting system that is any more complex than the existing components. Can I get some direction either to links here at the site or any parts sources for OCEANIC Biocube tanks.
Thanks!
