I've not heard that changing temperature is of any help in sorting out marine infections - though it's long been accepted that it helps a _lot_ in the control of, say, freshwater ich. Which kind of makes sense, as the reef environment is remarkably stable over wide areas - for most of our fish, there's just no option of moving to warmer - or significantly cooler - water in the wild.
