As stated is there a benefit of mixing Na2Co3 and NaHCO3 to raise KH?
I read for nearly all of the manufacturers claiming that they sell "carbonate mix" to raise alkalinity - however it is never explained why and in what ratio.

Anyone has any experience or recepie on such a "mix"?

I used to use both Na2Co3 and NaHCO3. I seemed to have more stable results with Sodium bicarbonate but soda ash - in theory - should does the same while increasing the PH of the water what should be benefitial...

I don’t think the mix is worth bothering to make, but it is a fine thing to do. Mostly bicarbonate and maybe 10% carbonate is about pH neutral.

IMO, is primary benefit is in allowing manufacturers to claim it is not “just” baking soda or washing soda.
