My tank is like a month old. Live rocks from the sea.

This growth is not part of the ugly phase but something brought in on the live rock that looks to be overgrowing it.

Oh ok. It seems to easily be dusted off and not clinging to the rock though, esp when I blasted it with a turkey baster.

Today I noticed for the first time, very fine brown algae hairs growing in a few spots 9n the rocks and one spot in the sand. Both sand was dead as well as the Marco rocks. 6 weeks into cycle, no fish. I did add copepods and amppopods 10 days ago hoping to slow down the ugly stage when it happens, and it finally looks like it is starting now. Light is an xr15 gen 5 pro on ab+ 30 day acclimation schedule. Let’s see what happens.
