Is XPS (Polystyrene) Reef safe ?

Hello,

Is floating a piece of XPS board ie foamular pink insulation board reef safe? Want to use it to float and hold dosing line.

Polystyrene itself is fine. Assuming a formulator did not put something unusual into it, then it will be fine with a soap and water wash followed by plenty of rinsing.

Any Rec for a safe material to float dosing line?

Most plastics are reef safe, assuming they are not going to dissolve like some of the newer materials designed to be compostable. It’s the extra ingredients that might be put into them that we really have no window into.
