I test alk once per week, thank god, and noticed even though I was adjusting up the amount I’d dose alk wasn’t increasing in proportion. I noticed air gaps would purge then find gaps again next morning. Replaced lines, lowered doser and still air gaps. I just added check valves and will see if that makes any difference.

Any tips or tricks I’m missing to ensure no leaks or air gaps with unit?

TIA!

Any chance maybe the actual head has a slight tear in the hose. Have you tried switching the actual dosing head?

Pretty good chance that if you keep getting air bubbles you have a leak somewhere. It's not very hard or expensive to change the tube in the dosing head.

Most of the dosing pumps, including the jebao use a roller directly on the motor shaft. Mine started to rust and would slip making the dosing quantity impossible to set. A good upgrade was to replace the dosing heads with ones that had positive gearing instead of friction.

I got mine on ebay. Most are 6v and the dosing system is 12v. I just used a resistor, but you could also locate 12v pumps.
