Hello, I had a small nano tank 10 years ago.
I recently found a RS c250 Max for a wood price.

I set it up 2 weeks ago.

Current stock:
15 pounds live rock
40 pounds dry rock
Aquaforest Bio Sand

Equipment:
- Red Sea c250 max
- stock lights (6 T5)
- 2 Siccee 2.0 return pumps
- Deltec MC500 Skimmer
- Eheim Jaeger 200w heater

Beside the live rock I added a pice of shrimp to kick of the process.
My current parameters are attached in the images

Ammonia and Nitrite has been at 0 for almost 2 weeks now..
Nitrites are at 20 ish..

A pair of two small clowns has been added. They are both doing well and eating good!

1 Trouchus snail and 1 Nassarius snail has also been added. (No algae yet.. so no need for a big CUC)

Ramping up lighting slowly.. 3-4h per day.

- Installed an ATO
- Struggling with getting my Deltec MC 500 to function reliably, i know a lot of people are running these skimmers in RSM 250 successfully.. so maybe it is a new tank syndrome.
I have gotten it to skim for half a day.. but it is very sensitive.. either its not skimming at all.. or it is overflowing.
Played around with the air valve.. Max air will cause overflow.. to little air will cause microbubles.
Might be due to not having any high bio load yet.
