I just made the switch from led a week ago,went with a 6 bulb sun power -3 b+,1actinic,1c+,1p+ I love it so far.This is a great thread filled with amazing tanks

Wow very nice t5 tanks guys...i ran t5 when i first set my tank up but around a yr in i bought a pair of radion gen 2s and have used them ever since but now have contemplated switching back to my 4-54w t5 or supplementing with a single bulb in front but not sure itd even be worth it on my75 gal bowfront dt....either way beautiful tanks guys definitely making me wonder

oh and is copperband butterfly not reef safe in the sense it eats shrimp and stuff or does it go after lps and sps also ?

Thank you. All corals were grown from frags but started in my previous tank about three years ago. I've been adding frags since.
I'm not sure why copperbands are not considered reef safe. I guess there is a risk, but I've never seen mine nip at anything.

What do you all reccomend for a 180 gallon? 6 0r 8 bulb 60"? I will be running a mixed reef with sps at the top. I feel like 6 is enough. Don't want to run into the issue of having too much light for lps and softies.

I have a 60"
With an 8 bulb you can always just run 6. With a 6 bulb you can never run 8.
