Lighting for 75 Gallon Reef Tank

So I took a quick look at this one and thought the reviews were good across the board.

What have you grown using these lights? Are there any issues with them you've experienced?

Keep this in mind..
165W is either a name or theoretical watts never to be obtained as designed, or both..

The 165W ViparSpectra runs at ~90W at 100B/30W

Other than that, standard no frills heavily focused lights.
Current "generation" manually dims in 10% increments afaict.
I see they posted the timer version here.

There is like 10 years of "experience" with those lights scattered here.

I had a similar question for my 75 gal. I went with some VIPARSPECTRA, I think they are actually a green house light but they worked wonders for my tank. Super bright as well and you can dim them and control them quite a bit. I still have my two fixtures

Depending on what you want to grow, you’d need 3, maybe 4.

I had a number of soft corals including leathers and some encrusting stuff that looked like pink gsp. I also had a meteor shower coral sorry don’t know the exact species. I also had a flower pot coral. Shortly after I started using those lights I had a heater malfunction and cook my tank so I didn’t get to see much from these lights, I will say my meteor shower coral probably tripled if not quadrupled in size under these lights.

Yeah I am trying to remember which ones I have because they were definitely strong enough and could dim in smaller increments than 10%. I had mine at 3% one time and slowly built up for my corals. I played around with them quite a bit. I still have the lights but they are packed away maybe I’ll go get them.

Depending on what you wanted to grow maybe if you were interested in extremely light loving sps. I think for most corals the lights I had would work quite well
