Hi,
I am turning to all of you because I am at a loss as to what lighting to buy for my 30-gallon tank. I read where I need 3 to 4 watts of bulb per gallon with the ratio being 50% full spectrum and 50% actinic.
I don't know if I need a top on the aquarium. I know that it would save with evaporation. Do I really need a top? I know there are hoods that can be bought with lights but are they powerful enough for my needs?
In the tank, I plan on having the kind of corals that are easier to care for such as zoas, duncans, etc. My hopes are to one day have an anemone. I will have one or two clownfish for sure.
I know with an anemone, they need good lighting too.
There are so many to choose from that I am just frustrated.
My tank is a standard 30-gallon that is 30 inches long or wide I should say.
Thank you for your help!
Vanessa
