Just getting active back on R2R, figured I'd get a tank thread going. :)

Here's my setup:
  • 120 gallon peninsula tank, 2' x 2' x 4'
  • ATI Sunpower 4' 6 bulb unit - 2 channels (currently running 3 blues, 1 actinic, 1 purple plus, and 1 AgroPower LED+UV t5 replacement bulb)
  • 2x 36" Reefbrite XHO blue only strips
  • Simple 3 chamber sump (probly about 20 gallons?)
  • Apex Classic - controlling reefbrites and kalk reactor
  • Reef Octopus Skimmer - rated for 210 gallons
  • Two Little Fishies media reactor (carbon and GFO)
  • Kalk Reactor
  • Calcium Reactor
  • Sicce Syncra 5.0 return pump
  • 10 Gallon ATO chamber
  • 2x MP40 pumps running on master-slave setting against wall-side of peninsula on either side of the overflow
  • ~50lb rock (started dry)
  • Auto feeder feeding mix of flake and reefroids 4x daily
  • Inkbird temperature probe/controller w/ heater

This tank right now is about 2 years old. I had it up and running for about 3 years prior when I had to move it to a new home and had a pretty bad tank crash - causing the loss of all but one or two SPS corals and all but one or two fish, though most LPS and softies pulled through just fine.

So far it's been pretty stable, i try to keep my parameters around:
  • Salinty: 1.025-1.027
  • pH: 7.8-8.1
  • Temp: 77-79
  • Nitrate: ~5 (i have a hard time getting it this high most of the time, it's usually just barely above 0)
  • Phosphate: 0.03-0.14 - this fluctuates a good amount for me, but usually is on the lower end
  • dKH: 8.3-9.0
  • Ca: 400+ (usually around 450) - i dont monitor this one too closely, i find if my alk is good the calcium is as well
  • Mag: 1350ish
Here's my spreadsheet with my full history of testing (multiple tanks from the time I started keeping saltwater):
If you are interested - you could copy the above document and start tracking your own test results, it's set up with auto-cell coloring based on ranges (you could customize those in your own document), and tabs for trending over time.

And some photos for fun:

Will update soon with coral/fish photos and stock list! Expect many more coral photos than fish photos - I'm an SPS junkie. :)

Great pictures! What kind of camera and lens are you using?
Thanks! I use a Nikon D7100 most of the time, with either a 40mm macro or a 105mm macro. We recently got a D700 that we've been trying to get the settings right on and I have a couple pictures on here from that with the 40mm.
