Look, I’m not new but new enough to stress out still. I have battled the algae plague before. My my rock is turning light green and I’m starting to freak out. I’ve had bubble algae outbreak before.. how do I prevent this from happening?

More snails over crabs?
Yes, but this is just my opinion. It really depends on the algae you have. In your case, it seems like it would be difficult for crabs to get off, as it's flat on the rock. That's why I reccomend snails because they are generally better with that type of stuff. I am not sure what algae you have, but I would find that out and see what creature will eat it.

This is film algae and often called a good sign but easily controlled by reducing the bright white intensity and adding a few snails such as astrea, cerith, nerite and turbo grazer and even a pencil urchin.

What are you using for your tests? KH reading seems off and nitrate’s kinda low as well. This algae isn’t too concerning, it’ll go away eventually. Like mentioned add a variety of snails
