i *almost* killed it, came so close. it completely bleached out when i re-glued it on a disk. i gave it to someone who has some KILLER chalices (he just has the *touch* i guess) to babysit for a couple of months, as if it was already stressed it would probably die during my big move.

last i saw it in his tank, it had been in there for a month and looked like it was making a good comeback. i'm going to go and pick it up in a couple of weeks. :)

grows soooooooooooooooooo slow.

sf_ramsden, no problem in using my pics with the logo! Thanks for the compliment!

Here is the difference between the four-color chalice and the true watermelon.....
-The four-color is pastel pink, has yellow mouths, a blue inner ring and a green outer ring. The pastel color makes it seem like a slightly faded watermelon and it takes a second seat to my true watermelon.

-The true melon was originally cultured by Ron Johncola and Tyree has since been marketing it. It is bright cherry red with yellow-green mouths and a bright green rim. This coral is like a beacon in my tank.

four-color under 14K MH. Note the inner blue rim and outside green rim.

True Watermelon under 14K MH brings out the best colors in it. Note that it only has a wide green rim, no inner blue rim like the four-color.

What type of lighting and flow do the chalices prefer? Also, water quality factors?

By the way...SICK PICTURES BOB!

watermelon morph #4 (THE red watermelon)......it has a blue edge i'm guessing b/c it was recently fragged, and its healing. you can see all the little frags of it in the above pics all have green edges.
