I also used a color chart ph test I had laying around last night and it appeared to be a little higher ph. Somewhere around 8? I'll have to get some hanna solution to calibrate the meter. The probe was just recalibrated about 2 weeks ago but I'm gonna get some cleaning solution, clean and it recalibrate.

Bear in mind that pH changes day to night. It is lowest in the late night to early AM.

To add to the drama when I took the reading with the color test it was in the evening. Which as you said should mean my ph would be lower not higher. I contacted Hanna about calibration solution and they even said the unit is pretty new it shouldn't be a calibration problem but I'm going to try to get some calibration solution anyways.
