Mag Chloride or Mag Sulfate

I want to bring up my Mag and have a bunch of Epsom salts. I have heard that you should not use Mag Sulfate to bring up Mag because there are other chemicals in the sulfate. If that is the case, then why can we use Mag Sulfate to maintain our Mag levels?

man Im not sure on this but my calicum reactor has 15% mag in it and keeps me stable. Sometines I will give my system a 50ml shot of B-Ionic Mag for a booster
