Hi Everyone, welcome to my build!
I made a build thread but decided to redo it with proper introduction and hope you guys will follow my build as it progress!
I was using the fluval 13gallon as a starter after getting back into hobby this year and had some live rocks but no live stocks for about 6 months then decided to upgrade to 34gallon cube.
After transferring live rocks over, I notice it was pretty empty and wasn’t enough so decided to buy more from LFS.
Added bio spira and 2 clownfish and 3 chromis. After 2 weeks, ammonia was down and did 50% WC and cycling was done. I’m not in rush to get corals or more fishes as I made a mistake with my first tank ( 75gallon ) couple years ago and the tank crashed hard and gave up.
This time I will be trying to set up a automatic system with auto WC ( 10-15% ) weekly and be dosing with tropic marin All in one reef daily. I started with ocean crystal salt but switch over to tropic Marin as a fellow Reefer advise me to get it.
I will be controlling everything with hydro. I have 5 wifi power strips ( 4 outlets each ) 3 for sump, 1 for refugium ( as the refugium cord is to short to reach and circulation pump to make cheats spins and under cabinet light. 1 power strip will be for pumps and heater for fresh saltwater & reservoir.
I will be using “ Auto Aqua WC/ATO “ to replace hydor.
I should of went with Neptune system but I thought I was going to stick to a budget but end up on shopping spree and couldn’t stop, now I’m to deep in to turn back
It was suppose to be a budget for the tank as the wife allowed, $2,000 CAD.
Tank, sump & stand was $1,100 alone and here’s what I got within a month..
34 gallon DP with 9 gallon sump and fluval stand for controllers & wiring
