Hey, thank you guys so much for all the positive support! It honestly motivates me so much and makes doing the stupid stuff a lot easier - talking about skimmer cup, dirty filter socks and water testing o_O!

A short update:
PBT got some white-spots again *sadface* but he started to let the tiny fire shirmp clean him :D

I was invited by my mother to go coral shopping for christmas .
So tomorrow we'll drive to Regensburg (city - translates to rain's castle) and hopefully get some new awesome stuff for the tank! ;)

I couldn't help but purchase some coral online too - I'll attach the shop's pictures, they are all WYSIWYG, and post my own pictures when they arrive (prob next week)

Awesome looking tank!
Holding up the flag for us german reefers :)
Honestly man, how in the name of the lord did you manage to get a strawberry shortcake?
I've been searching a piece for years now :)

Keep the good work up!

As the corals are imported - I got 4 acropora crabs too (Trapezia in white and red-ish), already love them - they are so cute !

In addition to those I got a blue/green Mandarin and a red sea urchin!
I don't have pictures yet and the mandarin does not move a lot so I hope he'll do better tomorrow!

Next update will be on coming Tuesday when the online order arrives that I mentioned yesterday...

@philfree - thanks for asking!

A whole year has passed since the last post in this threat!
It was not a successful year for my tank I might add...

Right after posting the last pictures of Acropora on this threat I started losing every single acropora and clam.
It was so very frustrating that I really did not want to post about it anymore.

After a lot of tinkering and trying to figure out what went wrong- about 3-4 months without acros I gave it another try.
What other can I say but It failed again... multiple "all green" triton ICP tests and I still lost almost every acro...
Maybe I tinkered a little too much with the tank - trying to "fix" it.

Everyday I looked at the tank- and it looked sh** without my fuzzy sticks :(
So after another good ICP test last September I gave it a last shot. Again, some frags moved in.

I honestly do still not know what changed. Maybe the tank had to mature a little more... even though It was "upgraded" from my old 55G which was perfectly capable of handling Acros.
But as of right now - with the exception of some acro worms, everything seems to somewhat work out as intended and I want to update this threat more often now.

I will start with posting some up-to-date pictures of the tank and some of the corals.

A few weeks ago I also added two 54w ATI blue+ bulbs to the tank... The additional light seems to cause some algae on the sand. I am not too worried though as that stuff comes and goes every once in a while :)
