I will be moving a 300 gallon reef tank in a couple weeks. I am buying it from someone who has had it for about 4 years and can’t take it with them. I need advice on weather or not to keep the old sand to put back into it. And best way to remove and relocate corals.

Thank you.

Old sand u need to rinse with tank water before u put it back. Rinse with the original water to get rid of detritus but still keep the bacteria going. Try to save as much as u can with the old water n mix new saltwater to make up the rest when u get to your new place this way then the tank is cycle faster
