Hey everyone,
I'm just about done cycling my new tank and adding fish into it. My question is this, I mostly have softies with some LPS and very limited SPS in my existing tank (which will be decommissioned after new tank is complete). Many tanks take a while for stability before introducing corals into it. How should I go about introducing my corals into the new tank? Here's what I have:

  • GSP
  • Candy Canes
  • Mushrooms
  • Hammer
  • Xenia
  • Assorted Zoas
  • Favias
  • Monti-Cap

Thank you.

Why is the old being broken down? Pests?
Live rock holds the stability you need for the new tank. Did you move it over, or plan to?
Nothing wrong with the existing tank, just upgrading to larger tank and will have no room for both.

I am not planning to move all rock into my new tank, just a very limited amount. I can however move all my ceramic rings and the rocks in my existing tank into the sump until my new tank stabilizes or just keep the rocks there indefinitely.
