Has been up for a little over to years. I have been having some problems with sps corals as of late. Stn and some color loss of corals, after some investigation I discovered I have high nitrates. I have been dosing Nopox for ten days waiting for them to come down.

That is a beautiful display!

Looks like everyone is thriving and happy, from corals to tangs. Got some muscle under the hood, too!

I found that my nitrates (in my current heavily stocked 65 gallon setup) came down somewhat with NO3-PO4-X, and dropped even further when I started using "Vibrant" to combat a nagging Bryopsis problem. Others have had very different - and somewhat widely varying - results from Vibrant use.

~Bruce, who's building a system the same size, but with a 40B sump . . .

I had more fish than what you see in the pic. I made a rookie mistake and purchased a yellow eye without quarantine him and lost a Copperband, Magnificent Foxface, Chocolate tang, Blenny.

Ouch.

I learned that lesson the hard way too ... one of those things I wish more newcomers to the hobby would embrace sooner rather than later.
