I just got this 700 gallon tank. It's in decent shape but needs cleaning. I'm pretty new to the SW world so please don't bash me, rather advise if you have suggestions. It will be about a year before it goes up so bare with me. I welcome all constructive criticism. I hope I don't disappoint.

Haha thanks. I'm building a house and it's going in there. So it will be a minute. I'm ready also, but I have lots of work to have it ready so it's good I have to wait, so I don't rush it. I'm trying to get pics to upload. I'm still undecided if I will do mixed reef or fish only...

I agree. And I want to go that route. But at that size I really would like a shark. If nothing else other than that it's a shark....

Sharks are awesome! What if you had a shark with corals? I'm no shark expert but that would be cool!

I'm prepared for the costs associated. By no means am I wealthy (in the Army) but it was a good deal and didn't want to pass it up. It's going up. I'll sell one of my kids if need be.

Possibly, they do have somewhat sensitive skin I believe. But if I do put a shark in, I'll introduce corals in small amounts. Could also be of the different parameters

For some reason I can't see the pictures on the app version of the site. I have to go to the website on my phone to see pictures. But that is the sump for it on the ground beside it

Always a mixture of awe and jealousy when you see a sump bigger than your display tank haha I am definitely following this build! Welcome to R2R!
