I have a Fluval G3, on my 65 Gallon, along with a LifeReef Sump. I initially installed it to polish the water. Keep, saying I’m going to delete it, but it keeps my water Crystal Clear. Well I forgot to plug it back in after a Coral and Anemone feeding. Did it ever stink, when I opened it up. Did a thorough scrubbing and rinse. Ran Citric Acid through the unit, for 8 hours. Flushed it with tap water. It still smells. Should I run Clorox through it or just put it back in service?

Can't hurt to give it a diluted bleach soak
