I have two of these in separate tanks. It is almost impossible to sex these fish and two males will fight. They are probably the best swimmers of the pipe fish and stand good flow. Mine eat both small and large mysis, live BBS, Nutramar Ova, and sometimes finely chopped shrimp and clams. They also go around and hunt pods like Mandarins. Multiple feeds a day are best. Good luck.

My Tampa store has like 6 of these right now I would love one but I don't want them to decimate my pod population

Yes he is eating nutramar and I feed multiple times a day because I have a mandarin trained on frozen also and thanks I will try the other foods
