Unfortunately the rest of the pics of the build and progress were stored in my laptop which just decided to never stop working again.

One year after i took it down I decided to rebuild the display and redesign the setup. I originally had two holes on the bottom back corners one for drain and one for return.

I made a new display tank out of plexiglas. My original tank build was impossible to maintain since theres was 4" of space to on my sump plus the plumbing was in the way. Instead of running the plumbing Strait thru the bottom I decided to make an over flow. I made the back pane half inch shorter. Im debating weather to leave the sump on the back for easiest access or underneath. But if I did it underneath I would run the plumbing in thru the back pane of the sump. That way I have clear access to the sump.

Thanks cmwalters. My first time into saltwater and reef I built this nano and bought a 125g tank. I never managed to put any corals into the nano before I tored the drain seal. I will start with smaller corals like polyps and mushrooms mishrooms grown huge but are easily maintained by cutting them. I have much research to do but ive seen many people have success. So its a matter of trial and error. I been in the reef hobby 5yrs and still consider myself a beginner.

Do you have a build thread or something on how you built the tank? This is such a cool idea and I might be interested in doing something similar.

I bought all the wood pieces at hobby lobby. They are perfect miniature replica of 2x4's and plywood. I used crylon black spray paint for the coloring.

I did all my cutting with a dremel. For a build of this size scale the dremel can do everything including drilling glass

This is the water pump I use. It's made by elite and functions as a power head that drawsbin bubbles too. But that's ideal for freshwater.
