Well, not really sure where to start so I’ll just pick a spot. I served in the army as an infantryman 09-13. We will just say I have been dealing with some trauma for many years since my separation. Like many of my battle buddies I dealt with the trauma with alcoholism and whatever combination of medication the VA saw fit. Fast forward to about 4 months ago, my mom showed up at the house with a little tank for one of my three boys. Surprise!! Little man has a beta tank. Two weeks later, she arrives with another. So son 2 gets a tank. Then a third 3 weeks later but this time a salt tank that’s already established. As I’m sure you can guess who ended up with that one. Well I’ve built a nice stand to match my fireplace I built. I also added some upgrades to the tank. I say all this to simply say I’m hooked. It has sparked a passion I never even knew was there. There is something therapeutic about caring for the tank and watching everything thrive. Anyway, thanks for listening and if you ever come across a veteran that’s needing a little help finding a purpose. I hope to pay it forward one day.
