So sorry you are going through this. I know first hand how frustrating and devastating it is dealing with a velvet outbreak. 2 years ago it was enough to make me consider leaving the hobby after losing a very expensive wrasse collection in a matter of days. Hang in there though, you're doing the right thing and your tank will flourish again with color and life. Best of luck!

Last two wrasse out of DT this morning. Now the 76 day fallow period begins. )(February 28 will be 77 days) Also the rebuild of the tank. I suppose it could be worse. So far no fish deaths and all corals are hanging in there. Of course, with the appearance of an explosion in my living room, there could be some discourse on the homefront. sigh. Thanks to @Diesel for the suggestions for getting the wrasse out of the sand. Worked like a charm. Tonight I will try to figure out how this pile of rock goes back together.
