Appreciate everyone's help on the skimmer. Probably going to pull the trigger on the lifereef 60". I'm now narrowing down lighting. Been out of the hobby for awhile and everything I'm reading says lean toward a T5/LED Hybrid. Tank is 96" x 30" x 36" high and I'm considering the following for light:

ATI Powermodule Hybrid. Since they don't make a 7 or 8 footer I was going to do a single 24" and then run a 60" beyond that to cover the rest of the tank (lighting is hidden in the wall above so it doesn't need to look pretty, just needs to provide the right spread). With 96" end to end I'd space it 4" off the end, then the 24" fixture, 4" space and then the 60 and then 4" off the other end. I'm assuming given the 30" width I should consider the 8 T5 bulb model vs the 4 T5 bulb one?

6 Ecotech Radion XR30 G5 Pro's. Stack them in 3 sets of 2's 18 inches off both ends of the tank. Basically 18" then 2 G5's then 12" then 2 G5's then 12" then 2 G5's then 18" on the other end. Hope that makes sense. If I go this route it's just the LED's as that's almost 5k in lighting alone.

I’m a fan of my t5 led hybrid on my 180. But for your size tank I would likely try all led. Mainly so I didn’t have all those T5 Bulbs to replace. Later, if needed, you could retrofit some 5 ft T5’s if that makes sense on your system.

I read of alot of issue with straight LED's guys having shadowing issues and not getting enough light "volume" with just LED which is why I'm considering the hybrid.

If you use arrays of leds, the shadowing might be minimized. Happy with kessil ap700 and ai primes, which brs shows in efficient arrays. Che k out the next ap9x?
Sps?

Why not (2) 48" T5 fixtures? 48+48=96 then you can buy all the same length bulbs. Would definitely recommend T5+LED. T5 is nice, and LED is nice, but together they're amazing.

I figured i likely won't have room to do 2 48" fixtures end to end. They wouldn't have any space at all between fixtures and would likely hang out past where the tank bracing is anyway. Maybe 2 36" 8 bulb ATI's could do it. Set them 8" space from end, 36" fixture, 8" spacing, 36" fixture and then 8" on the other end?

A 48" fixture is meant to be used on a 48" long tank, so they aren't actually 48" long.
My 75 gallon is actually 48.375" long including trim, inside of the canopy is 48.5" and endcap-to-endcap is 47" (same as the ATI sunpower) so I have 3/4" on either end. Say 2*47=94" so I bet you could fit a double 48" if you wanted to.
